HALTERS, BLANKETING, FLY SHEETS, & FLY MASKS

Halters

Franktown Meadows requires all retired horses to have a washable nylon halter with breakaway crown.

Blankets

Franktown Meadows requires all horses to have one waterproof “heavy” (300-400 grams) blanket. Horses living in stalls are blanketed daily. Depending on a horse’s coat, Franktown Meadows may request more blankets.

Fly Protection

Franktown Meadows requires all horses to have one sturdy fly sheet. This is especially critical for horses easily disturbed by flies.

Fly Masks

Franktown Meadows requires all horses have one fly mask tailored to fit the horse comfortably. These masks are crucial for protecting against pollen, allergens, and insect-borne health issues.

Blanket Service

The washing and repair of your horse’s blankets, sheets, fly sheets, and halter is an additional service billed separately.

Bathing, Clipping, Brushing

Regular weekly grooming and/or bathing is an additional service billed separately.
